Start with the Department of Human Services (DHS). They offer help with food (SNAP and WIC), heating and housing. Visit dhs.ri.gov to learn more.
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank lists food pantries and meal sites across the state. Go to rifoodbank.org to find one near you.
Community Action Agencies (CAAs) help with food, housing, utilities and job training. They serve every city and town. Visit ricommunityaction.org for details.
If you need shelter, Crossroads Rhode Island offers housing and support. Visit crossroadsri.org to learn more.
You can also ask at local churches, libraries or town halls. They often have info or staff who knows about help in the community.
